Monday, Sept. 13: The golf tournament is on for 10 AM–NOT noon–at Beverly Golf & Tennis.

$175 per player – 10am tee off.  Continental breakfast at the course, surf and turf dinner back at the Legion after.

Manchester Club Dinner: Thursday, September 16:

After a layoff of many months, The Manchester Club is optimistic to be able to hold a dinner on
Thursday, September 16 at the Legion Hall! Todd Crane and crew will be preparing the ever popular “Mort Mayo” Haddock dinner and Pepe Bolognese, who installs and maintains the Boston Marathon finish line every year, will be guest speaker. 

Masks will be required to enter the building according to board of health protocol. The E-board is optimistic to be able to host a full house this evening but are watching for updates from the town and will keep you posted as any new restrictions are introduced due to the resurgence of the pandemic. 
As is the custom, cocktail hour will begin at 6pm with dinner served promptly at 7pm. We hope to see you there!

Dick Lysiak Golf Tournament

The Richard J. Lysiak Memorial Golf Tournament is set to be held on Monday, September 13 at a new venue, the Beverly Golf & Tennis Club – with a 10am shotgun start. Please note the change in start time! The cost is $175 per player and includes a continental breakfast at the golf course and a surf & turf dinner at the awards banquet that will be held at the Legion Hall immediately following the golf.

First Dinner in a long time! September 16

Lastly, the first dinner meeting in a long time will be held on Thursday, September 16 at the Legion Hall–if the Board of Health clears the Legion to resume holding dinner functions by that time. Manchester Club members and their guests can expect a delicious dinner served up by the membership and a lively discussion for club plans moving forward from the pandemic. Invitations will be emailed in August.

Scholarships:

As high school graduation commencements approach, the Club will be awarding 5 college scholarships of at least $500 each.  Applications may be found on this website– themanchesterclub.org –under “Club Forms/Applications”. Nine applications have been received to date and all applicants will be considered!

Raffle:

We’ll be doing last year’s last year’s raffle at the October dinner.  We’ll then hold the customary raffle in May of 2022.

Raffle tickets along with dues invoices will be mailed out in the early summer.

We’ll be trying to update the email lists from last year’s membership drive. We know that some members continue to report not receiving club emails. If you read this and you haven’t gotten an email from us, please send your email address to < therealmanchesterclub@gmail.com >
