William “Bill” Scott Scholarship

The William “Bill” Scott Scholarship is a prestigious award designed to support graduating high school
seniors who are committed to pursuing higher education in post-secondary institutions. Whether
attending Manchester–Essex Regional High School or other public, private, or vocational schools in
Massachusetts, eligible applicants must have a familial relationship to a member of the Manchester
Club.
Bill Scott, a prominent and esteemed businessperson, left an indelible mark on his community. Not only
was he successful in his endeavors, but he also demonstrated unwavering dedication to family and
service. Bill willingly stepped forward to lead and generously volunteered his time and energy for
various local social, business, and community organizations.
This scholarship serves as a fitting tribute to Bill’s enduring impact. It embodies his spirit of leadership,

Application Guidelines for The William “Bill” Scott Scholarship

  1. Amount: $3,000
  2. Application Submission: 
    Aspiring candidates for The William “Bill” Scott Scholarship are required to submit their
    application along with a copy of their High School transcripts. These transcripts should
    include details such as grades, participation in athletics, involvement in clubs, and
    community service performed during their time in High School. 
  3. Essay Requirement: 
    In addition to the transcripts, applicants must submit a 400-word essay expressing why
    they believe they should be considered for this prestigious award and how the
    the scholarship would alleviate their financial burden.
  4. Submission Address: 
    Completed Applications should be mailed to the Manchester Club, C/O Scott
    Scholarship, PO Box 364, Manchester, MA 01944.
    All submissions must be received by May 1, 2024. 
  5. Recipient Notification: 
    The scholarship committee will notify this year’s recipient before graduation. 
  6. Award Presentation: 
    Upon receipt of a copy of the recipient’s first semester grades, the scholarship will be
    presented to the deserving individual.
